Another person might do it because they’re literally addicted to porn and masturbation and they’re like a sex addict. Yeah. Another person might be just feeling sluggish and they’re like, « Oh, I want to I’d want to try a PM, you know, no fap because I’m feeling so sluggish. » and they saw this random study where it increases testosterone in a week or whatever, right? Everyone, you know, you got a lot of different reasons for doing it. Yeah. And that’s why there’s a lot of gray area. And I think where a lot of people trip up is they look at it as this thing like a silver bullet to problems, but it’s just another bow. It’s just another string in your bow of skills and delayed gratification. So the way I look at it is if you can manage to not do any porn masturbation for 30 days, I think you’ve pretty much nailed it because at that point you can you can go for a lot longer. It’s like the saying making your first million is the hardest million that you’ve ever got to make. So doing your first 30 days is the hardest 30 days you’ll ever have to do. But then after that it just gets easier because you’ve already done it. You’ve already done it for a long period of time. Yeah. I think for me like if I masturbate in the past, it would take me about 3 or 4 days for me to get the urges again to do it. Right. So then I would like go back and you know it would be like two, three, four days on average. Yeah. So if I can last 30 days, then I know I’ve pretty much completed it. Yeah. So the way I think people should look at it is don’t look at it as this be all end all where if you don’t do it, you’re just a [ __ ] person. But also don’t discredit it and say there’s no value in it. I think there is value in it, but you need to find a balance. You need to make sure that you’re you’re not masturbating too much. And if you’re really really horny and you’re just constantly thinking about like, « No, no, I’ve got to do nofap. I’ve got to keep the streak up. Like, I’ve got to keep going. » And you’re just like constantly thinking about busting one out. That’s not really healthy either. So, I would say keep it to like once a month or once every two, three weeks. Don’t watch porn. Like, porn is the big thing, man. And the thing is what happened with me is I stopped watching porn ages ago. I haven’t watched porn in like years now. Um, and if I do have a wank, do masturbate, I’m kind of like, this is dead. Like, this is [ __ ] Like, you’re just standing there. You’re just like you’re like thinking of some situation in your head. You’re like, this is so weird. Like, this is so much worse than having sex. But porn feels really amazing. Like, porn is so much more stimulating than just masturbating. So, if you can get away from just porn and just masturbating, then that’s a huge win. That’s a huge win in my eyes, and then once you get to that point where you’re you you haven’t watched porn in months, then you can start looking at doing it less and less and less. And hopefully by then, you know, you are having sex with an actual person who is real and exists and isn’t just a figment of your imagination. So, yeah, don’t take it too seriously. Don’t spend all your time like trying to not wank. Like if it’s taking over your entire life, then you’re not doing it right. It should be another little aspect of your life, you know, like a cherry on top. It shouldn’t be something that’s like the fundamental thing. It’s like, oh, I haven’t, you know, done no fap, so that’s why my life is falling apart. No, your life is probably falling apart because you got a bunch of things that you’re not doing right. You know, there’s usually not one culprit. There’s usually a multiple. Uh, and nofap is just another one of those um little things that compound. So, my suggestion is if you’re thinking about it, get to the point where you don’t do it for 30 days. If you’re watching porn right now, then stop watching porn, but you can still masturbate. But the thing is, you’ll probably struggle to do it because it will just not feel as good. Yeah. And that’s kind of the point. Um but eventually it will feel good and you can use your imagination to to masturbate.
